166 Water Wings
[P166]

The crane is a symbol of happiness and eternal youth and this magnificent pair have been captured forever in thread. Stitched with lustrous rayon threads and the heavily textured stitches that are typical of Brazilian embroidery, the birds, surrounding flowers and foliage are worked onto royal blue trigger cloth. Varying weights and the highly reflective thread surface emphasise these unique stitch techniques. Design Size: 21cm x 15cm Stitches Used: Alternating satin stitch, Brazilian stem stitch, brick stitch, bullion knot, bullion loop, cast-on stitch, couching, detached chain, fly stitch, French knot, raised stem stitch, satin stitch, stem stitch, straight stitch Note: Because of the stitches used and the use of felt padding this design has been deemed unsuitable for washing. The pattern is not printed onto the fabric so that it will not need to be washed.
